Philadelphia 76ers will open the NBA Summer League against Detroit Pistons on Thursday night. The 76ers made a few changes this year after opting to play in Las Vegas rather than the Salt Lake Summer League. They released their official roster on Monday, featuring many rookie faces. The only player with NBA experience is Johni Broome, who will come into this expedition looking to bounce back from a difficult rookie season.
Detroit Pistons, on the other hand, have been active during the offseason as they look to secure a deep playoff run next season. They’ll head into the Las Vegas Summer League with an exciting young squad, headlined by first-round pick Ebuka Okorie. He was the No. 17 overall pick out of Stanford, and is popular for being a quick and aggressive scoring guard. He likes to get many points on the board, which should play well in the Summer League.
