Our Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons Prediction
The Cavaliers finish off the Pistons in 6 games.
Unlike in their previous series against the Orlando Magic, which saw them overcome a 1-3 series deficit to win the best-of-seven duel, the Pistons found themselves in a much deeper hole this time around.
The Cavaliers are undefeated in their last 10 games at Rocket Arena and 12-1 in their last 13 games at home against the Pistons.
Aside from these trends, Cleveland has clearly outplayed the Pistons in the last five minutes of the last three games. James Harden has exorcised past postseason demons to deliver perhaps his best stretch of playoff basketball.
As for Detroit, it’s basically Cade Cunningham against the Cavs. Cunningham is the only player on the Pistons who has shown up in every game of this series. His co-star Jalen Duren has turned into a glorified screener, as his offense was completely shut down by the Cavaliers' twin towers of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.
Sensing blood in the water, Cleveland will go for the K.O punch right from the opening bell. With James Harden and Donovan Mitchell taking their turns at throwing haymakers, the Cavaliers turn a double-digit lead in the first half into a blowout in Game 6.
Our betting prediction for the Detroit Pistons vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers: The Cavaliers -4.0 points
