The Denver Nuggets will try to get back into their groove when they lock horns with the slumping New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday at Smoothie King Center.

Denver’s seven-game winning streak fell at the hands of the Chicago Bulls, 127-130, on Monday. Nikola Jokic delivered a massive triple-double of 36 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists, and Jamal Murray posted 34 points and 11 rebounds. Aaron Gordon also caught fire with 24 points, but they could still not outgun the Bulls, who dropped 40 in the third quarter. Denver remains at No.2 in the Northwest Division with a 10-3 record, second only to the 14-1 OKC Thunder.
The Pelicans suffered a 109-126 beatdown from the Oklahoma City Thunder, plunging to their sixth loss and a 2-12 record after 14 games into the season. With Zion Williamson sitting out with another injury, New Orleans leaned on rookie guard Jeremiah Fears, who scored 24 points on 56.3 FG%. Trey Murphy III tallied 18 points, and Micah Peavy added 16 points off the bench.
