The Denver Broncos will try to move one step closer to a playoff berth when they take on the Raiders in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET. Denver is a 6 to 6.5-point favorite despite being the road team.
After an 0-2 start to the season, the Broncos won five of their next six to improve to 5-3. Back-to-back losses to the Chiefs and Ravens saw them fall back to .500 before last weekend's win over Atlanta, which improved their record to 6-5. If the playoffs were to start this week, they'd get the No. 7 seed over the 5-6 Colts and 4-7 Dolphins and Bengals. So, as long as they keep winning, they'll make it in. With tough games remaining, they can't afford to drop a winnable game to the 2-8 Raiders. With the zone that Bo Nix and the defense appear to be in, it doesn't seem likely. But the Raiders are not going to just lay down for the Broncos. However, the Raiders are in the midst of a six-game losing streak that began with a 34-18 loss to Denver.
Factor in all of the injuries the Raiders are dealing with, and it becomes harder to see the Broncos losing.

There are way too many question marks surrounding the Raiders to envision them beating the Broncos. Vegas has not played well on offense all season and will find it even tougher against the Denver defense. As for the Broncos, everything is trending in the right direction for them. The defense is playing well, the run game seems to work better on the road than at home this season (131 yards per game to 98 ypg), and Bo Nix seems to be playing better with each passing week.
