Daniil Medvedev of Russia will play Adrian Mannarino of France in the second round of the 2025 Libema Open on Thursday.
Medvedev begins his grass-court campaign looking to bury the memory of his first-round exit at the 2025 French Open. Medvedev crashed out in the opening round at Roland Garros, bowing to Cameron Norrie of Great Britain in a hotly-contested five-set showdown, 7-5 6-3 4-6 1-6 7-5. Medvedev, who has struggled on the red dirt over the years, could not wait to hit the ground running on grass, where the Russian holds an impressive 56-24 record or a 70 percent win rate.
After not qualifying for the French Open, Mannarino shifted his focus to the grass right away, having already won 4 out of 6 matches on the surface. Mannarino reached the quarterfinal of the Birmingham Challenger and defeated Christopher O’Connell 6-1 6-3 in the first round of the 2025 Libema Open.

Our Daniil Medvedev vs Adrian Mannarino Prediction
Why should you pick Adrian Mannarino to cover +4.5 games? (Win $100 on a $150 Bet) While Daniil Medvedev has reached the semifinals of the 2024 and 2023 Wimbledon Open, he has been performing below the level we are accustomed to seeing him play. Medvedev is only 18-11 in 2025 and is coming off a devastating first-round loss at the French Open. Meanwhile, Mannarino has already played six matches on grass, winning four of them, so it’s safe to assume that he has already adapted to the bouncy court condition of the grass courts. Moreover, Mannarino defeated Medvedev also in the second round of the Libema Open 4-6 6-4 6-2 almost two years ago, so there’s always a possibility for a repeat. Still, I think Medvedev will gut out a victory in this match but not before another serious test from Mannarino.
