This featherweight matchup right before the co-main event could end up being the fight of the night. Dan Ige, known as Mr. 50K, will face the surprisingly unranked Melquizael Costa. He will get his chance for a ranking if he is successful in defeating Ige here.
Dan Ige’s fights are always exciting, but he has had a rough stretch. He is just 1-3 over his last 4 fights, and his lone win came via a controversial stoppage against Sean Woodson in April of last year. He has never finished in his career, but that could be in jeopardy here against Costa, who has picked up a finish in 3 of his last 5 wins. While Ige has not had much success lately, the level of talent he has faced is much greater than what Costa has faced. He will need to lean on his experience to stay in this one with Costa.
Costa’s start in the UFC was not what he had expected. He lost his debut to Thiago Moises and then again in his 3rd fight to Steve Garcia. However, since the loss to Garcia, Costa has been on a tear. He has won 5 straight fights with 2 coming via submission, and picked up a monster KO victory over Morgan Charriere in December. If he can dispatch Ige here, he will earn his way into the top 15 and have numerous opportunities come his way in 2026.

This is a tricky matchup. Ige’s recent fights have not given the betting public much faith in him. However, he did go the distance in all 3 losses to opponents that are all arguably of a higher caliber than Costa. Ige is the most dangerous striker that Costa will have faced in his career. The price on Ige by KO/TKO is too good to pass up. We are going to take him here in hopes that Costa makes a mistake and allows Ige to unleash his power that will finish Costa here.
