Two NHL Central Division rivals meet at the Enterprise Center on Saturday as the St. Louis Blues host the Dallas Stars.
The Blues face a divisional foe for a second straight game, having squared off with the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday. Jim Montgomery's team took a bad 8-3 beating and must now quickly refocus to get back on track.
Before hosting Chicago, the Blues had won back-to-back road games. Strangely, they also lost their home opener to the Minnesota Wild 5-0, leaving Blues fans very disappointed early in the season.
On Saturday, Dallas will also hope to bounce back from a defeat. The team blew a 2-0 lead on home ice Thursday night to lose 5-3 to the Vancouver Canucks. Casey DeSmith had a miserable season debut between the sticks, finishing with a .808 save percentage.
Dallas' No. 1 Jake Oettinger is expected to return to the crease against the Blues and should give his team a better chance of winning. Oettinger holds a 3-0-0 record through his first three starts of the campaign.
The return of Matt Duchene could be an additional boost for the Stars. He missed Thursday's action but is considered day-to-day and might be ready to make his comeback against St. Louis.
