The Dallas Mavericks and the Philadelphia 76ers will try to gain some momentum at the expense of one another in Wednesday’s Summer League clash at Thomas & Mack Center.
After hacking out a tough win over the Lakers 87-85 in Game 1, the Mavericks fell in their next two games, bowing to the San Antonio Spurs 76-69 and the Charlotte Hornets 87-69. Cooper Flagg, the No.1 overall pick of the 2025 NBA Draft, recorded 31 points on 10 for 21 shooting in the loss to the Spurs. Dallas announced that they had shut down Flagg for the remainder of the Summer League as precautionary measures to prevent an injury.
The Phillies recorded their first win in three Summer League matches, blasting the Washington Wizards 74-58 on Sunday. Second-year forward Justin Edwards recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds in 32 minutes of play, while No.3 overall pick VJ Edgecomb tallied 15 points and 6 rebounds in 30 minutes of play in the game.
