The Dallas Cowboys will try to bring their three-game losing streak to an end when they face their longtime rival, the Washington Commanders, on the road at Northwest Stadium in Landover, MD. Kickoff for this Christmas Day NFC East battle is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST with coverage provided by Netflix.

With wins over the Eagles and Chiefs, it had started to look like the Cowboys might be gelling at the right time, but then came the loss to Detroit, followed by one to Minnesota, and then the defeat at the hands of the Chargers last week. Throughout the slide and the team’s other losses, there has been a central theme—too many field goals and the defense’s inability to stop anyone. Brandon Aubry only had one field goal vs. the Chargers, but between the other two losses in the slide, he attempted 11, making nine. The Lions scored on eight of 12 drives and only punted twice; Minnesota punted just twice out of 11 drives, and the Chargers punted once (8 drives). As for the Commanders, a bad season took a turn for the worse with Marcus Mariota leaving the game last week vs the Eagles with an injury, forcing the Commanders to turn to journeyman Josh Johnson at QB. Mariota is dealing with a quad injury as well and is day-to-day.
