Dallas remains in contention for the NFC East title after winning their last three games to improve their record to 6-5-1, second to the Philadelphia Eagles with an 8-5 record. The Cowboys handed the Kansas City Chiefs their third loss in four games as Dak Prescott passed for 320 yards with two touchdowns and one interception to power Dallas to a 31-28 win. Dallas owns the best passing offense in the NFL, averaging 271.3 passing yards and 29.3 points per game.
The Lions suffered their third loss in five games after falling to the Green Bay Packers anew, 24-31, last week. Detroit quarterback Jared Goff threw for 284 yards with two touchdowns, but the Lions’ defense could not contain Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who dazzled with 234 passing yards and four touchdowns. The Lions rank No.7 in passing yards per game (238.2) and third in points per game (29.2). However, Detroit only ranks 15th in points allowed per game (22.8).

Fearless Forecast: I am backing the Cowboys to continue their hot form, earning their fourth straight win against the Lions. Dallas is 6-1 SU in its last 7 games against Detroit and 4-2 SU in its last 6 games. Meanwhile, Detroit is 2-3 in their last 5 games and has been atrocious on the defensive end in their recent games. With Dak Prescott putting up MVP-type numbers, the highly-charged Cowboys pose a serious problem to the Lions’ defense that conceded four passing touchdowns against Jordan Love and the Packers last week.
The Lions will need their pass rushers to step up their game if they want to contain Dallas’ explosive passing game. In the end, I feel the Cowboys are in a position to salvage a road win because of their recent head-to-head superiority over the Lions and their upward momentum.
