Curtis Blaydes (19-5-0) and Josh Hokit (8-0-0) will clash in the UFC Heavyweight division on Saturday night at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. Blaydes, who is the No. 5 contender in the division, is an experienced name in the franchise and a former title challenger. He got his first shot at the title in UFC 304, losing to Tom Aspinal via a KO punch. However, the “Razor” recovered from that defeat to get a split decision win against Kuniev in June last year.
The undefeated Josh Hokit, standing on the opposite end of the Octagon, is an exciting prospect in the division. The 28-year-old joined the franchise in August last year via the DWCS, defeating Guilherme Uriel in the second round via a KO elbow. The “Incredible Hok” went on to defeat Mark Gimenis and Danzel Freeman in round one via KO punches. An impressive win this weekend will significantly improve his profile in the division.

Our Curtis Blaydes vs Josh Hokit Prediction
Curtis Blaydes will be the -137 betting favorite this weekend, which is a decent value. In a recent interview, the proven 20-fight veteran said he expects the young prospect to hunt him down inside the Octagon. He knows that a victory will reinforce his claim to sit among the division’s elite names, whereas a defeat will take him toward the gatekeeper territory. Hokit, on the other hand, will know that a win would justify the hype and push him to the Top 5 Heavyweights. However, Hokit is not Ngonnou or Aspinall. Although he’s a top prospect, his striking is still raw. We expect Blaydes to time his openings and finish Hokit inside the distance.
