CONCACAF Champions Cup holders will take a comfortable 3-0 lead into the second leg of their first round tie against Vancouver on Thursday evening.
The Mexican side dominated the first leg, as they managed a whopping 20 shots on goal whilst also enjoying 70% of the possession. However, things haven't been going quite as smoothly domestically for Cruz; they fell at the semi final hurdle in the Torneo Apertura and are currently five points off the pace in the early stages of the Torneo Clausura.
Vancouver's dismal first leg showing means that they have now gone five games without a win in any competition. Although it is worth noting that due to the Canadian Premier League season finishing in mid October, that first leg defeat was Vancouver's first game in over three months.
