In a historic season, Flamengo will be looking to end 2025 with another trophy, the Intercontinental Cup. Winner of the CONCACAF Champions League, Cruz Azul will be in Qatar to represent North and Central America. The Mexican club has just been eliminated in the semifinals of the Liga MX playoffs by Tigres (1-1; 1-1), a huge disappointment for Nicolas Larcamon's team, which was aiming for the title in this opening tournament and ended its season with a series of nine games without defeat. But there is no time for Cruz Azul to dwell on this setback, as they now turn their attention to Qatar and the Intercontinental Cup to bounce back.
