Seattle Storm (1-4) will look to stop their three-game slide when they host Connecticut Sun (1-5) on Friday night at the Climate Pledge Arena. The Storm failed to recover from their two away losses when they fell 78-80 to a determined Connecticut side on Wednesday night. They had three players in double digits, led by Natasha Hiedeman, who had 20 points and five assists. The Storm are favored at -145 odds to bounce back with a win tonight.
Connecticut Sun, meanwhile, will start believing more in their abilities after edging out the Storm on Wednesday. This was their first win this season, although they still remain at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. It was also great to see them maintain their composure throughout the night after suffering some blowout losses against the Aces and the Liberty. They’ll be motivated to do a quick double against the limping Storm.

Connecticut Sun did well to defeat Seattle Storm on the road this week. However, that doesn’t convince us that they’re ready to turn a corner. The Sun have an uninspiring defensive record in the league this season of 92.5 PAPG. While the Storm are certainly not the Liberty or the Aces, they should find a way to overwhelm the young visitors and win today. But we don’t expect lots of points, considering how Seattle struggled without Dominique Malonga. The center is their best player and will miss tonight’s matchup with a concussion precaution. Still, they should prevail against the Sun, who have some of the worst numbers in the league.
