Las Vegas Aces (24-13) and Connecticut Sun (9-25) will meet on Thursday night at Michelob ULTRA Arena. The Aces clinched their playoff berth after defeating the Mystics 83-76 at home. However, they failed to build on that performance, losing two games on the bounce. In their latest assignment, the defending champions lost 82-97 to the Dream, dropping to fourth in the standings. They’ll be under pressure to bounce back to winning ways on Thursday.
Connecticut Sun, on the other hand, were eliminated from WNBA playoff contention after losing 75-82 to New York Liberty on Saturday. The Sun were hoping to shake up things after a disappointing 2025, but things haven't worked out for their young squad this year. Before that, they qualified for six straight playoff semifinals, although with zero championship wins. They’re now in danger of finishing with a lower win percentage than last season before relocating to Houston.
