The No. 9 Texas Tech Red Raiders play their final home game of the season tonight when they host the Colorado Buffaloes at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, TX. Tipoff for this Big 12 battle is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN+.
Like many teams, Colorado got the year off to a nice start during the non-conference part of the schedule (9-2), but things came crashing down once conference play got underway. They went 0-13 in conference games before finally recording their first Big 12 win of the season (Feb. 15 vs. UCF 76-63). Fans didn’t have to wait long for a second win (76-74 vs. Baylor on Feb. 22). They have since dropped games to Kansas (Feb. 24) and, more recently, Kansas State (Mar. 2). As for Texas Tech, the Red Raiders are coming off a win over Kansas on the road, 78-73. JT Toppin led the way with 21 points and eight rebounds on the night. But they have stumbled a little down the stretch, going 4-3 in their last seven. Two of those losses were to ranked teams, No. 4 Houston (Feb. 24) and No. 20 Arizona (Feb. 8). They’ll wrap up the regular season at Arizona State on Saturday.
