The 2025/26 NHL season has been fantastic for the Colorado Avalanche; however, their most recent games on the road have been very challenging. With this goal in mind, despite being favorites to defeat the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden, they aren’t really expected to dominate the game, as they couldn’t score more than three goals during their last four road games.

Additionally, it must be noted that the Avalanche lost their last two road games, a negative streak that is very concerning when taking into account that the Dallas Stars currently are just one point behind them. Even though it cannot be ignored that the Avalanche has a slight advantage, as they have played two fewer games than the Stars so far in the season, they must play this game calmly.

Meanwhile, the New York Rangers have finally been able to find some consistency when playing at home, as they won three of their last five home games. In this matter, the Rangers have recently defeated the Dallas Stars in overtime, so facing the Avalanche isn’t expected to cause any panic in the Rangers’ roster. However, they haven’t scored more than three goals when playing at home since their 6-3 victory over the Nashville Predators.
