The Knicks have made great improvements during the postseason, leading all teams with a net rating of 20.0. They embarrassed the 76ers 4-0 in the semis, showing their newfound defensive and offensive balance. Cleveland definitely faces an uphill battle against the well-rested and improving Knicks, who should cover the -5.5 spread.
The Cavaliers, meanwhile, had to dig deep to see off the Pistons in Game 7. The Eastern Conference No. 4 seed came out guns blazing in the last game to win 94-125 and book a date with the Knicks. Their trio of Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Donovan Mitchell showed up when it mattered the most to lift the team past the stubborn Pistons.
