The Reds won the game 1-11, a long, even game and a pitching duel that lasted until the fifth inning, when the Reds opened the scoring with a 6-run grand slam by Stephenson. Francona was delighted with a strong performance from his starter, Singer, who commanded six innings and struck out four. Flaherty had a poor performance, allowing five ERs.
This was one of the rare and few losses the Tigers have suffered playing in Detroit. Elly De La Cruz also contributed to the Reds' victory, hitting her 15th home run of 2025 and throwing out a Tigers baserunner at home with his arm.
