The Pirates will get a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs underway today at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Fans can follow the action once the game gets underway at 6:40 p.m. EST.
Pittsburgh has been having a tough time lately, losing six of their last nine, including their last two. They went 3-3 on their recent road trip, beating the Angels in two of three but losing to the Dodgers in two of three. They shut the Dodgers out in Game 1 but got beaten in Games 2 and 3, 8-4 and 9-2. As for the Cubs, while they lost their last two to the Phillies at home, they went 5-3 in their 8-game homestand. Chicago will give the ball to Shota Imanaga to start the day. Imanaga is 2-1 on the season in six starts with a 3.18 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. Pittsburgh is scheduled to start Andrew Heaney, who is 2-1 in six starts with a 1.72 ERA and .77 WHIP. He has not allowed a run in his last two starts, both wins, or given up more than five hits in a game this season. Heaney has gone at least six innings in four of his five starts.

I’d lean towards the Cubs to win just because they are a better overall team, but I like the total as a better bet.
