The Cubs won their last series in Chicago but will hardly have been satisfied by not sweeping the Angels. Now they will face the difficult Orioles in game 2 of the series who have won 7 of the last 10. For game 1 the Orioles odds closed at -190. Baltimore maintains a 26-16 record when it is a favorite at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. On the other hand, the Cubs have one of the lowest percentages of being visitors and underdogs in MLB with 34.3% of victories.
Imanaga and Burnes will face each other in what on paper looks like a pitching game, but the betting sites maintain the line of 8.5 set for the Game Total. Since May 29, the Japanese pitcher Imanaga began to chain a series of unfortunate outings that did not relegate him to 20th place in pitchers with the best ERA with 3.71. He has also allowed at least 3 ER in his last 3 outings, including a disastrous one against the Mets where he allowed 10. Burnes will start for the Orioles, being the 3rd best pitcher in the MLB in ERA with 2.32 and with an impressive active streak of always having pitched the minus 6 innings in each of his starts since May 1.
