The Chicago Bears (1-1 SU, 1-0-1 ATS) visit the Indianapolis Colts (0-2 SU, 1-1 ATS) in a game that matches Bears coach Matt Eberflus with his former employer. However, both teams’ personnel have changed completely since Eberflus last worked for the Colts, so his knowledge of his old team probably isn’t going to mean a thing here.
What will matter is how Chicago chooses to try to attack the Indianapolis defense. The Colts have really performed poorly against the run this year, ranking dead last on the ground. They do rank ninth against the pass, but that’s skewed because they got to face Malik Willis against Green Bay instead of Jordan Love. So far, Indianapolis hasn’t shown much on that side of the ball.

Indianapolis tends to bring the offense when it plays at home. Four of its past five home games have gone over the total, and the one exception was a Week 18 game with Houston last season where both teams played cautious with the AFC South title on the line. With far less at stake this time around, the Colts are likely to let it rip.
That could mean big plays, but it could also mean disaster against the Bears. Chicago has been above-average on that side of the ball, and it’s needed to be big in order to get a win against Tennessee. Really, the Bears should be 0-2, but the defense created enough big plays to steal that game. It’s probably not going to happen again. Although Anthony Richardson means a roller coaster, the Colts play their best football at home and should handle business. Our prediction for Chicago vs. Indianapolis is Colts -1.
