Premier League leaders Liverpool travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening for a hotly anticipated matchup with Club World Cup champions Chelsea.
Both sides have struggled to hit top form in recent games, but will see this contest as a fantastic opportunity to get back on track by taking three points off one of their title rivals.
Liverpool have fallen to defeats in each of their last two games, including a last gasp 2-1 loss at Crystal Palace last weekend that ended their 100% Premier League record. Meanwhile, Chelsea have picked up just one point from their last three Premier League fixtures.
Last season's contests between the two sides both resulted in home victories, with Liverpool recording a narrow 2-1 early season win at Anfield, before Chelsea got their revenge via a 3-1 success at Stamford Bridge in May.

Chelsea - Liverpool: Form Analysis
After an incredible Summer that saw them win the Club World Cup, hopes were high that Chelsea could mount a serious Premier League title challenge this season. However, a record of two wins, two draws and two defeats from their opening six games suggests that Enzo Maresca's men are still somehow short of the level required to compete with the top teams in the league.
That fact was highlighted last weekend, when the Blues appeared to be cruising to a home victory over Chelsea, before a Trevor Chalobah red card was followed by the concession of three late goals and a 1-3 defeat.
Bad week for the champions
After five wins from their first five Premier League games, plus a victory in their opening Champions League contest, everything appeared to be going swimmingly for Liverpool. But last season's champions have been brought back down to Earth by back to back away defeats against Crystal Palace (via a 97th minute winner) in the Premier League and Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Chelsea & Liverpool Squad Analysis
Chelsea will be without England center back Trevor Chalobah following his red card against Brighton. That gives Blues' boss Enzo Maresca a big selection headache in defense as he is already without long term absentees Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill.
Key midfielder Cole Palmer is also likely to miss out as he recovers from a minor groin problem, whilst striker Liam Delap will be out until at least December with a hamstring problem.
Two fresh concerns for the Reds
Goalkeeper Alisson and striker Hugo Ekitike both suffered minor injuries during the defeat at Galatasaray and will miss Saturday's game. That means Georgian keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili will make his Premier League debut, whilst Alexsandr Isak is likely to replace Ekitike in attack.
The only other injury absentee for the Reds is young defender Giovanni Leoni, who is out for the season after suffering a cruciate ligament tear.

Confidence will be low in both camps following recent results, although Chelsea will be buoyed by their narrow midweek win over Benfica in the Champions League.
Liverpool are marginally the stronger side here, but their performances over the last couple of weeks have been well short of the high standards they set last season. And with Alisson and Ekitike both out, they will be missing key players at both ends of the pitch.
