Chelsea welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Stamford Bridge for their first home match of the 26/27 Premier League season. Both of these sides have enjoyed winning starts to their season. Chelsea beat Fulham away 3-2 in their first game, which they followed up with a 2-0 win against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup. The Seagulls were fantastic in their 4-0 home win against Aston Villa on opening day, as they were against Tromsoe in the UEFA Conference League where they romped to another 4-0 victory. Two excellent attacking sides, this game should bring us goals and plenty of them.
Emi Martinez is set to sign for the Blues, though the move may not be finalised in order to play in this one. If not, Robert Sanchez is likely to continue in goal for Chelsea. While the home side are favorites to win the match, it's really important to not underestimate Brighton. They're a great EPL side, talent all over the pitch and offer a fantastic attacking threat too. They're in fantastic form, the Seagulls enjoyed a top preseason and are unbeaten in their three competitive games so far this season. While Chelsea has also started well, this game is far from a gimme for Xabi Alonso's side.
Brighton has a superb record over Chelsea. They've won the previous four head-to-heads, including a superb 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge last season. We think the Seagulls are more than capable of taking something from this game, which is why for our prediction we're looking at the Double Chance market.
