As the Leagues Cup continues to wind up, there's action at Bank of America Stadium on Thursday evening, when Charlotte FC will take on Juarez in a game that must go down as a serious opportunity for Dean Smith's men to make a positive start to this competition. The Charlotte boys will get down to business in front of a home crowd having been in excellent form of late. Last time out, they made light work of beating Toronto FC at home, picking up a fourth straight win in Major League Soccer. Such a run should mean that the hosts come into this game full of confidence, while their general home form should also leave them feeling hopefuly of securing a win.
The visitors, in contrast, probably won't be feeling great ahead of their trip to the US. After all, they're on a bad run right now, winning none of their last eight games in all competitions. Sure, they have ground out plenty of ties during that time, but they're struggling to score goals, which is a problem ahead of a game against a home team that has bagged plenty in recent weeks.
