Charlotte was eliminated from the US Open Cup against DC United, and the strain is even greater as it was a match that went to overtime and then penalties. Just three days after their US Open Cup loss, they will be playing their next MLS match. Dean Smith's men have also lost their last three matches. After a promising start, Charlotte hasn't won since March 19, and with this, they have dropped out of the top 7 in the Eastern Conference.

This is not the case for Columbus Crew, which only has Camacho and Herrera to worry about.
