The Central Michigan Chippewas (13-15, 6-9) will try to move a step closer to a .500 record when they face the Eastern Michigan Eagles (14-14, 7-8) at the Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti, MI. This MAC battle will get underway at 6 p.m. ET; fans can find coverage on CBSSN.
It has been a challenging season for Central Michigan. While it began with a win over South Alabama, 74-70, they have yet to win more than two games in a row all season. But with a win over Eastern Michigan tonight, they will get that elusive third consecutive victory. They crushed Western Michigan on the road last Saturday 86-57 and beat Buffalo 73-69 Tuesday night. Despite being the road team, they’ll enter this game as the betting favorite even though Eastern Michigan has the better record (14-14). When these two teams played earlier in the season (Jan. 14), the Chippewas crushed the Eagles in front of a home crowd, 82-63.
However, while Central Michigan is a road favorite, Eastern Michigan has been playing better basketball of late. They lost their last game 65-60 against Bowling Green at home 65-60 but have won four of their last six games.
