The opening round of Group B fixtures in the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup sees the highly fancied Canadians take on Honduras in Vancouver. Jesse Marsch's side are strongly tipped to make a deep run in the competition, but will be without star man Alphonso Davies for the tournament, as he is still recovering from a serious ACL injury. Canada warmed up for the tournament with a 4-2 victory over Ukraine, followed by a disappointing 0-0 draw against a strong Ivory Coast team.
As for Honduras, they are currently on a four game winning run, although it is worth noting that all of those victories have been against relatively weak opposition. The Hondurans secured their place in the tournament thanks to two convincing victories over Bermuda, but Tuesday's game will represent a far greater challenge for a squad lacking in world class talent.
