Learner Tien of the United States will shoot for his first ATP title against Cameron Norrie of Great Britain in the championship match of the 2025 Metz Open.

Tien reached his second-ever ATP Main Tour final after ending Vitaliy Sachko’s Cinderella run on Friday, 6-1, 6-4. Tien seized control right from the start, storming to 5-0 lead before wrapping up the first set in 26 minutes. The American faced a bit of a fightback from Sachko in the second set, but he still managed to put the Ukrainian away for good by securing another service break in the second set. Tien is now 5-1 in indoor play in 2025 and 26-9 in his career.
Norrie booked his ticket to the final of the Metz Open after grinding out another three-set win over Lorenzo Sonego 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. Norrie, who had also needed three sets to beat Valentin Royer, Athur Cazaux, and Kyrian Jacquet in the previous rounds, won 84 percent of his first serves to hold 13 of 14 service games. He also broke Sonego three times, including the break that clinched the match. Norrie is 10-3 in indoor matches in 2025.

The 19-year-old Tien has displayed incredible ball-striking and composure beyond his years to overcome quality opponents in this event.
