With only one game separating these teams in their respective win columns, the Buffalo Sabres (9-9-4) will take on the Pittsburgh Penguins (10-6-5) Pittsburgh on Wednesday evening.

Buffalo has turned things around this after starting the month just 1-5 by winning 4 of their last 5 games. In their last 4 wins, the Sabres have put on a scoring display, averaging 5.75 goals per game. That has been the difference between the team’s losing and winning streaks. During their losing skid, they were averaging just 1.8 goals per game. They will need to keep the pressure on the net in this meeting with Pittsburgh.

The Penguins have been having arguably the worst month of the entire league. They are just 2-7 in the month of November and are on the verge of yet another losing streak after losing back-to-back games to Minnesota and Seattle. In their 2 wins, they were able to find the back the net 4 and 5 times, something they were unable to do in any of their losses.

This game could simply come down to which team can put 4 goals in first, but with the inconsistency that both have shown over the last two weeks, it certainly will be a toss-up as to which team can succeed.
