New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills Prediction & Picks - NFL

After an incredible come-from-behind victory over the Ravens in Week One, the Buffalo Bills are on the road this week. They’ll face their longtime division rivals, the New York Jets, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST; the game will be broadcast on CBS. 

History has favored Josh Allen in this matchup, with the Bills going 9-4 vs. the Jets with Allen at quarterback. However, while he has had some big games, the New York defense has made him work for it the last few years. Allen threw for just 215 and 182 yards in last year’s matchups. Since his last 300+ yard game in 2021, Allen has averaged 215 yards. While Allen’s heroics in the fourth have received the lion's share of the coverage of Buffalo’s Week 1 game, the Jets will likely be focused on what the Ravens did in the first three quarters when they held Allen and the Bills in check. Aaron Rodgers had four touchdown passes, but just 244 yards passing. The Jets defense also shut down the Steeler run game, giving up 53 total yards on 20 carries. If they can establish the run against the Bills like they did against Pittsburgh, they may be able to open some passing lanes for Justin Fields.
