The Buffalo Bills (3-1, 1-0 Away) will try to stay undefeated on the road this season as they take on the Los Angeles Rams (2-2, 1-1 at Home) on Monday Night Football. Kickoff at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. EST on ESPN.
Buffalo enters this game fresh off its first loss of the season last week, 29-26 to the New England Patriots. Drake May and the Patriots offense looked shaky the first three weeks of the season but came alive against a struggling Buffalo defense (No. 27 in yards allowed, 372.3 per game; No. 25 in scoring, 26.8 points per game). They took a late lead with a 34-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen to Keon Coleman, but the defense couldn’t hold on the next drive.
Inconsistency and injuries have been the bigger story for the Rams. Myles Garrett remains out, Aaron Donald is expected to return this week, and Puka Nacua missed Weeks 2 and 3. After struggling against the 49ers in Australia in Week 1, they cruised over the Giants in Week 2, but then gave up 30 points to the Broncos in the second half in Week 3 and lost. While they beat the Eagles last week, the offense played an uneven game and benefited from facing an injury-decimated, struggling Eagles team.

The Rams' defense has been tough to throw on this season (145.5 yards per game allowed), but Josh Allen has rarely had trouble getting the passing game on track against it. In three previous starts, he averaged 300+ yards and 3+ touchdowns per game. So, the Rams may slow him down, but they will not stop him. Mathew Stafford has played the Bills twice since joining the Rams; he had a bad game back in 2022 (three picks), but threw for 320 yards and two scores in 2024. But with how poorly the Bills' defense is playing, I think he is more likely to have a solid game this time.
Both quarterbacks should shine in this game. Yes, the Rams defense has been tough, but Josh Allen is a gamer; he’ll find a way to put points on the board. Because of that, I am not confident in either team to win or cover. But I do expect a high-scoring game.
