The Brooklyn Nets will face the Trail Blazers in the first of two meetings this season tonight in Portland at the Mode Center. The action is scheduled to get underway at 10 p.m. ET. Portland opened as a seven-point home favorite.
It has not been an easy season for the 13-26 Brooklyn Nets. They opened the season with a pair of losses and went 4-6 in their first ten, and things haven’t really gotten any better. Hence, a 13-26 record as the halfway point of the season draws near. Of course, when you have one of the worst offenses in the NBA (No. 28, 107.3 points per game), it can be hard to win games. Their defense certainly isn’t helping much (No. 18, 113.7 points per game allowed.
Portland, however, is not doing much better. They’ve only been averaging 108.2 points per game this season while allowing 116.4 points per game. With wins in just two of their last seven games, the struggle has been just as real for them as the Nets this season.
Tonight’s game will be the second of a five-game home stand. It will be the third of a six-game road trip for the Nets.
