High flying Brighton and Aston Villa lock horns in a mouthwatering Wednesday night Premier League showdown at the Amex Stadium.
The Seagulls produced a solid away display on Sunday to comfortably beat in-form Notts Forest at the City Ground, whilst Villa laboured to a narrow 1-0 win over bottom side Wolves, thanks to a second half thunderbolt from Boubacar Kamara.
That victory was Villa's seventh in eight games, a run that has taken them from the bottom three right up into the Champions League places. They currently sit in fourth, one place and two points ahead of the Seagulls.
As for Brighton, their strong start to the season has been built on an unbeaten home record that has seen them defeat the likes of Manchester City, Newcastle and Brentford. If they can improve a slightly iffy away record, there is every chance that Fabian Hürzeler's side can mount a serious challenge for a European place.
