Just as the first game was, the second of the playoff series between the rival Red Sox and Yankees was also a thrilling game, which the Yankees were able to take this time, winning 4-3 and tying the series at one game apiece.

It was undoubtedly as good a game as the first of the series. There were defining moments from the pitching side, like when Fernando Cruz escaped a bases-loaded jam, causing the batter to pop out to center field. The reliever celebrated that moment without hesitation.
