Fresh off another dominant win over their Eastern Conference rivals, the Boston Celtics travel to Brooklyn to face the lottery-bounded Nets at Barclays Center on Saturday. Since the Cavs have virtually locked up the No.1 seed in the East, everybody’s attention is now on the battle for the No.2 spot being contested by the Celtics and the New York Knicks. The Celtics hold a five-game lead on the Knicks, having won six of their last seven games. In their recent win over the Miami Heat 103-91, Jayson Tatum scored 28 points and Jrue Holiday added 25 to keep their team undefeated against once their fiercest rivals in the East.
After topping the LeBron-less Lakers 111-108 earlier this week, the Nets have returned to their losing habit, dropping their next two assignments against the Cavaliers 109-104 and the Bulls 116-110. Cameron Johnson scored 17 points against the Cavs and 16 in a losing effort against the Bulls.
