Portugal's Benfica host Scottish Champions Celtic in the second round of UEFA Europa League fixtures. As Águias got their European campaign off to a winning start in an impressive 2-0 away win at AC Milan. Celtic, on the other hand, suffered defeat at home to Ferencváros in a disappointing 1-3 match. Benfica have enjoyed a good start to their 26/27 campaign, sitting in 2nd position in Liga Portugal. They've won six and drawn one of their domestic league games and will be full of confidence heading into this one.
As for The Bhoys, they've also enjoyed a great start in the Scottish Premiership, winning seven of their eight league games so far. They did experience a three-game losing streak in all competitions, but that was put to an end after beating Motherwell 2-0 last time out.
For our prediction, though, it's hard to look past a comfortable home win. It's rare that Celtic come up against a side with the quality of the Portuguese giants and after defeat in the first round of fixtures, we think this game will tell the same story.
