Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton will square off on Wednesday with the winner of this All-American showdown earning the right to advance into the final of the 2025 Canadian Open.
Fritz earned his sixth semifinal on the ATP Tour this year after vanquishing Andrey Rublev 6-3 7-6(4). Shelton sailed through to the semifinal of the Canadian Open following a clinical win over Alex De Minaur of Australia 6-3 6-4. Shelton continued to lean on his massive first serves, winning 29 points off these serves while adding 12 more off the second. He also broke De Minaur three times on 28 return points.
