Just like Paris Basket, Monaco is expected to bounce back on Friday night. Defeated by Zalgiris Kaunas midweek, the club from the Rock cannot afford two consecutive losses on the European stage. It was a surprising home defeat, as Monaco had started the season with a title and three consecutive wins on French soil. Each win was by a margin of 20 points or more! Unfortunately, the team coached by Vassilis Spanoulis came back down to earth after 40 minutes of play in the European Cup. A disappointing 5/18 from 3-point range was one of the reasons for this first defeat. The Red and Whites will need to put in an XXL performance in defense (3 quarters with 20 points or more conceded) to avoid another defeat in the Euroleague.
Dubai made a thunderous debut in the Euroleague. After a disappointing start to the season with two consecutive defeats, Jurica Golemac's men got back on track with an 89-76 win over Partizan Belgrade. The underdogs had a particularly strong first 10 minutes, leading 28-18 at the end of the first quarter. Led by a high-level Davis Bertans, who is ready to break all records in the EuroLeague after a long European career, Dubai has no intention of stopping there.
