On Wednesday evening, there's more UEFA Champions League action, and this time, we're focusing on the game in the German city of Munich, where Bayern and Chelsea will lock horns. This will be a renewal of the 2011/12 UCL final, in which the Germans lost out to the team from England on penalties. The pair have since met four times, in this competition, as well as in various pre-season tournaments, and it's not been a fruitful fixture for the Blues, who since winning that shootout in 2012 have lost three and tied one against Wednesday's hosts. When the teams last met, in this competition back in 2020, Bayern won by four goals to one in front of a home crowd. Can they repeat that trick here? We'll find out at Allianz Arena.

From a form point of view, the hosts come into this game in fine mood. The German giants sharpened their attacking tools by thumping Hamburger SV at the weekend, scoring five goals, with the likes of Harry Kane, Luis Diaz and Serge Gnabry all looking very threatening. That victory marked five competitive wins from five competitive games at the start of this new campaign.

For Chelsea, the weekend didn't go as well, with Enzo Maresca's men tying away to Brentford. When Moises Caicedo crashed home to give Chelsea the lead with an edge-of-the-box hit in the 85th minute, it looked as if the Blues has secured all three points, but there was still some sting left in the Bees, who secured a tie with a last-minute goal.
