Barcelona, especially in the first half, didn't play resolutely against Real Oviedo in the midweek match at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium. Once again, just as they had their game against Rayo Vallecano, they had uncharacteristic difficulties generating attacks.

With further delays to the reopening of the Camp Nou, Barcelona returns to the Lluis Companys stadium to face Real Sociedad. The Catalans defeated Real Sociedad 4-0 in their last league match against each other.

Injuries are once again plaguing Flick's team. While Joan García injured his ankle, Ter Stegen is also not ready to return, and Schenzy will then be the goalkeeper for Barça against Real Sociedad.
Joan García's injury adds to Raphina's thigh pain, Remín Lopez's, and Gavi's, the latter of whom is almost certain not to play until 2026. At least, in encouraging news for Flick, Lamine Yamal will return.
Real Sociedad also acquired two injured players after their victory against Mallorca. Yangel Herrera, recently acquired from Girona, is injured with a hamstring injury. Icelander Oskarsson remains injured, as is Iñaki Rupérez.
