Barcelona welcome Athletic Bilbao to the Nou Camp looking to continue their great start to their 26/27 La Liga campaign. The current Spanish Champions comfortably won their first league match of the season, smashing five goals past Elche away, and many are expecting Barca to score a few again when they take on Lehoiak.
Athletic Bilbao started their season with a 3-1 defeat at home to Sevilla. It's difficult to see Lehoiak getting anything from this game, either. Barca has an incredible record against Bilbao. In fact, we have to go back to 2024 for the last time Athletic Bilbao picked up any points against Barcelona and even further back to 2019 for the last time Bilbao beat their next opponents in the league. Bilbao might have defeated Barcelona in Copa del Rey games in between, but it's a huge ask to see them beating them this time around.
Barcelona has won the last six meetings between the two, scoring 17 in the process. Barca haven't conceded to Bilbao in any of their last five meetings. As you might expect, Barcelona is the huge favorite to win this match, but we've found greater betting value in the Total Goals market, which our prediction will be based on.
