The Baltimore Orioles (68-47) are in the midst of a 10-game road trip to begin their month of August. They split their 4-game series in Cleveland to start things off and have gone to split the 1st two games of this series with the Toronto Blue Jays (52-62). In game one, Chris Bassitt went 7 strong innings for the Blue Jays in their 5-2 victory. He held the Orioles to just 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 9. Cacher, Alejndro Kirk, went 2-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs in the win. In game two, Anthony Santander went off for 2 home runs while Jackson Holliday added one of his own in the 7-3 win for the Orioles. Tonight, the Orioles will throw Dean Kremer (4-8, 4.39) in hopes of stealing this road series from the Jays. He took his 8th loss of the season in his last start which came against the Guardians. He only went 5 innings and allowed 4 runs on 6 hits. He will be opposed by Kevin Gausman (9-8, 4.56) who began his career with these Orioles. He faced this lineup back in early June and the Orioles knocked him around for 6 runs on 6 hits in just 6.1 innings of work.
