The Minnesota Twins will host the Baltimore Orioles in Game 2 of their three-game home series at Target Field in Minneapolis. Fans can follow the action once the game gets underway at 7:40 p.m. EST.
Minnesota got a solid start from Pablo Lopez yesterday with five innings of work (two hits, one walk, one run, 11 strikeouts). His lineup gave him a sizable lead to work with after recording five runs in the third, punctuated by a two-run shot from Carlos Correa. Baltimore got a run on the board in the fourth, but the Twins finished the scoring off with four more runs in the seventh. Baltimore will turn to Charlie Morton to start the day on the mound. Morton has struggled this year. Through eight appearances, three in relief, he has a 0-6 record with a 9.76 ERA and 2.20 WHIP. Simeon Woods Richardson gets the nod for the Twins. He is 2-2 in six starts with a 4.03 ERA. He has had some control issues at times this season. Of the 11 walks he’s given up, five came in his last start, vs. Cleveland (May 1), and four in his start vs. Detroit (April 13).
