Baltimore Orioles vs Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Baltimore Orioles will try to get things turned around this week when they head out west to Phoenix for a three-game series vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks. First pitch is scheduled for 9:40 p.m. EST, and coverage of the game can be found on a regional carrier, MASN2.

It has been an up-and-down start to the season for the Orioles. It began with a 12-2 win over Toronto, but then the offense disappeared, and they lost 8-2. However, the offense returned in Game Three (9-5) before disappearing again for the fourth game (a 3-1 loss). Returning home for the first time didn’t help much as they went 1-2 against the Red Sox before heading back out on the road vs. Kansas City (1-2). As for the Diamondbacks, they are returning home from a six-game road trip that saw them take two of three against the Yankees in New York. But then they lost two of three against the Nationals in D.C.

Right-hander Zac Gallen will get the start for Arizona. Gallen is off to a 1-1 start this season with a 3.38 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. He only lasted four innings in his first start, vs. the Cubs, but went 6 2/3 last week against the Yankees, holding them to three hits, no runs, and striking out 13. Baltimore is giving the ball to Zach Eflin, who is off to a 1-1 start with a 3.75 ERA and .92 WHIP.
