There's Bundesliga action on Saturday evening (local time), when Augsburg will have the rather sizable task of hosting Bayern at WWK Arena. A tough assignment, for sure, but the hosts may just fancy themselves to impress here. Life under Sandro Wagner began with an opening-weekend win against Freiburg, whom Augsburg beat by three goals to one, so at the very least, we should see a confident home team take to the field.
Having regained the league title that was rather rudely snatched from their hands by Leverkusen in 2024, the Bayern boys will be hoping to dominate once more during the 2025/26 season. Having made some positive moves in the transfer market, Vincent Kompany's men made light work of picking up all three points last weekend, thumping RB Leipzig by six goals to zero. Having followed that win up with DFB Pokal success against lower-league Wehen, the Bavarians go in search of a third win this term.
