The UEFA Champions League returns and we have a great game in store as Spain's Atletico Madrid host England's Manchester United at the Metropolitano Stadium. Atletico were beaten in their first UCL game of the season, going down 2-1 away at Liverpool. The Red Devils, on the other hand, got off to a winning start, beating Sabah FK of Azerbaijan. Aside from that victory, United have been very poor this season. Their performances have been below par and there's a huge amount of pressure on manager Michael Carrick to get it right and quickly.
Colchoneros have been much better. They've won six and drawn one of their eight La Liga games, including beating city and title rivals Real. Despite getting off to a losing start in the Champions League, Atletico remain amongst the favorites to make it to the Knockout Stages with ease. Despite United sitting in fourth place in the UCL table, they'll find it difficult to qualify if their poor performances continue.
Onto our prediction. We can't see anything other than an Atletico Madrid win here. United simply can't keep clean sheets, they look very poor defensively and this is something Atletico will take advantage of.
