New York Jets vs Atlanta Falcons Prediction & Picks - NFL

The Atlanta Falcons (4-7) will be on the road to face the New York Jets (2-9) in a game that features two teams that have underachieved all season.

\Atlanta is fresh off a 24-10 win over the Saints last week. The win snapped a 5-game losing streak and featured Kirk Cousins under center for just his 2nd start of the season. Cousins was not overly impressive and finished with 2 touchdowns to go with his 1 interception, but he did not play outside of himself and cause any unwarranted turnovers. The defense was solid and held the Saints under 300 total yards and forced 2 turnovers. They will need a similar effort this week against a Jets team that was victorious in their last home game.

While the Jets did win their last home game, 27-20 over the Browns, they have lost their last 2 games which both came on the road. Last week, they hung tough with the Ravens and trailed by a touchdown early in the 4th quarter, but the offense could not finish things off and eventually allowed 2 Tyler Loop field goals to make the final 23-10. The defense kept Lamar Jackson and company in check with just 241 total yards, but their offense was mostly non-existent. Breece Hall finished with 119 total yards but lost 2 fumbles that were crucial in the game.

The Jets will need to get Hall going early and often and limit the turnovers to stop this Falcons team that can put up numbers themselves. I could come down to which defense rises to the occasion in this matchup
