After suffering an 89-94 defeat in the hands of Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty (15-3) have an opportunity to bounce back this weekend against Atlanta Dream (6-9). They missed out on a chance to defend the Commissioner’s Cup. Even more painful is that this loss ended their four-game winning streak. Breanna Stewart scored 24 points during the defeat, while Sabrina Lonescu contributed 23. Interestingly, this will be the second time these two sides meet in less than a week after New York dished out a 75-96 blowout last weekend. The Dream have now lost three matches on the bounce. Before this matchup, they’ll play Connecticut Sun on Friday night.
