Some described the Blue Jays' lineup for the 2025 season as less intimidating than in other seasons, but the truth is that the Jays' lineup has responded well, hitting mostly for good collective AVG without their most important bats appearing yet.

Going 6-3 with a win by Gausman, the Blue Jays got their 10th win of the season, and although they only allowed six hits, they were almost all together in the fifth inning, one of two HRs, the first of them by Roden of two runs and another by Santander, also of two runs.

The Venezuelan Santander from the Orioles was the Blue Jays' management's choice to offset important names who had left the team in previous years, and although his start was less than ideal, his impressive HR in the first of the series against the Braves made him smile again.

The Blue Jays have also built a winning record without Vladimir Guerrero Jr. having yet hit his first home run of the season, a slump that may be frustrating but one that has happened before.
